Medium bodied, very dry and expressive, crushed stone, strawberries, creamy mid-palate, long mouthwatering finish. Clearly a step up from the standard Provence juice, closer to a Sancerre rose in seriousness.
The Clos de l’Ours stands close to the village of Cotignac, at the heart of Provence, between the Gorges du Verdon and the Côte d’Azur. Hand-harvested, the grapes are pressed directly after being sorted. Minimal intervention during winemaking process with wild yeasts. Wines mature on fine lees in enameled steel vat. Certified organic, biodynamic.
Blend: 35% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 15% Carignan, 15% Cinsault
Our "Clos de l'Ours" vineyard is surrounded by the forest, with a specific micro-climate and large range of temperature.
Our old vines (50 years old in average) go deeply in the calcareous and limestone soil to express a nice salinity into the wine.
Farming has been organic since 2000
