Hospitality Series

HOW IT WORKS:

Our Hospitality Series was created with the intention of making wine education more accessible for all. This series includes two bi-monthly events for volunteers to attend: one study hall and one class. All we ask is that you volunteer with us! Details below.

THE BASICS:

1. Study Hall in the Loft.

On the 2nd Wednesday of the month between 3 - 4PM you can book a 30 minute meeting during our "Study Hall". During this time you can ask our resident Sommelier (and shop owner) anything about working in wine. Getting ready for your Certified Somm exam? Have questions about resume writing or interviewing? Want to just sit and read something in our wine book library? Here’s your chance.

2. Class by Us.

Blind Tasting 101, region study, stainless steel vs. wood aging - could be anything! There will be wine open.

Lastly, you'll have the chance to attend GuildSomm classes (when available) where you can watch the masters teach on our big screen.

HOSPITALITY SERIES REQUIREMENTS:

There are volunteer requirements for this series:

In order to attend one of our paid classes, we ask that you help set up and breakdown one of our classes for our customers.
Additionally, we ask that you help out with some shop tasks (like stamping bags).
