he's from a wine importing family out of Montreal, Canada but his family is of Sicilian decent. Now young Luca is making his own wine, his first vintage no less which drinks as if he's been doing this for many many more. If Catarratto could come from Chablis - that's this wine.
Luca collaborates with small-scale farmers to source the best grapes from old vines across Sicily. All of the grapes are organically grown and carefully hand harvested. The wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts and vinified with very little sulfites. This minimal yet precise approach to winemaking ensures pure, high-quality wines.
Not the big bombastic/tropical banana peel vibe that many Catarrattos can display, this is more refined, more precise and mineral, citrus driven. France meets Sicily. Go ahead and see for yourself. Excited to see the evolution of this producer!
