Wow! A rare opportunity to enjoy a perfectly mature Riesling. While this may be pushing 30 years old, it has been perfectly stored since the late 90s, and drinks more like it's only 10-12 years old. The bottle development has allowed for the sweetness to be seamlessly integrated into the wine, and while you likely would have tasted the full brunt of the 42 g of RS 20 or so years ago, now it seems barely off dry at all (we would guess this was only 15-20 g if blinded on it today).

Nahe Rieslings are known to be fuller bodied than those from Mosel and livelier than those from Rheinhessen, and typically display exotic aromas due to the unique (often volcanic) soil.

Family has history in Nahe dating back to 1627. Now managed by 14th generation.

sourced from single plot (Kahlenberg) with gravel and clay on top of sandstone, gentle slope with southern exposure. One of the best sites in the town of Kreuznach with history dating back to 1499!
