a newer release from the always amazing Saint-Cyr, very allocated bottling (we got 1 case)

in 2020, Raphael began plowing his own vines with two Comtois drafthorses, Samba and El Suegno

Aligoté from single plot of 90 year old vines, grown on clay and limestone.

Originally this was called AligoT, but the AOC people threw a tantrum, so he changed it to Alien. 1000 bottles produced.

One of the most surprising and exciting Aligotés you are likely to try! (sourced closer to the Rhône than it is to the Côte d'Or), but not showing opulence—beautiful texture and a long, persistent mineral-laden palate.

honeydew melon, chalky, medium bodied, vibrant, energetic, juicy mid-palate with plenty of crisp tree fruit and minerality, generous, tons of tension, tightly wound (more fruit will appear with 1-2 days of air)
