Located within the Van Duzer Corridor AVA, Johan is an 85-acre certified-Biodynamic site. The vineyard, planted on calcareous sedimentary soils, is kept quite cool by the maritime, coastal winds that are flowing constantly through the corridor. The wine fermented with 30% whole clusters, and aged for 17-months in French oak (20% new) before bottling, unfined and unfiltered.
