Region: Campania

Appellation: Fiano di Avellino
Vineyard: Sourced from vineyards around the winery in Summonte as well as in Montefredane in the province of Avellino.
Soil: Clay, loam, sandstone.

Viticulture: Vines are an average of 18 years old. Hand harvested in the second or third week of October.

Vinification: 60 day fermentation using ambient yeast.

Aging: Aged for six to ten months in stainless steel on the lees followed by four months in the bottle before release.

Production: 1250 cases produced annually.

Notes: This is high elevation Fiano (500-600m in elevation) - it reminds you that that southern Italy has some cool microclimates and can make whites as fresh as those from the north. These wines evolve over time and if you are patient enough to revisit the wine over hours if not nights, they will reward you!
