Champagne Bourgeois Diaz - "Les Bien Amiees" 2017 750ml (12.5% ABV)
we only got 2 bottles! stunning blanc de noirs from a single vineyard, and from one of our favorite Champagne producers.
from cave pur jus:
"Jérôme Bourgeois, child of the ’77 vintage, is a very dynamic vigneron, born into a family of champagne producers with a history four generations deep. The 7-hectare estate is made up of some 20 parcels scattered around the town of Crouttes-sur-Marne, halfway between Reims and Paris. Jérôme took over the vines at the beginning of the 2000s from his parents, who had never bottled much wine themselves, instead selling their grapes to bigger houses, as was the tradition. The production of 55% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay, hasn’t changed – but the methods have. Jérôme follows the biodynamic calendar to the letter and has banned all chemical treatments, all to great effect. Today, Jérôme offers something all too rare: well-made Champagne at very reasonable prices. He even gave his bottles a classy makeover recently. All of which makes his champagne one for our times – this is resolutely modern bubbly."
A few words from Maison Bourgeois-Diaz: "The color is golden yellow, the nose reveals luscious notes of pastry, and the palate expresses a delicate vinosity, well balanced between power and fruit."
