Arnot Roberts, Trousseau North Coast 2024 750ml
- Vineyard: A blend from Luchsinger and Las Cimas vineyards
Soil: A combination of Vocanic cobble over ancient river stones (Luchsingers) and decomposed sandstone (Las Cimas)
Vinification: Native yeasts for both primary and secondary fermentations. All of the lots were fermented using 100% whole cluster
Aging: Aged for 11 months in a combination of neutral French oak barrels, puncheons and foudre
Production: 675 cases
Notes: The 2022 Trousseau saw the addition of a new planting from Las Cimas vineyard, growing in weathered sandstone in the hills of western Russian River Valley. 80% of the fruit still comes from the Luchsinger vineyard in the Big Valley of the Clear Lake AVA, grown in volcanic alluvium over ancient riverbed stones at 1,400’ elevation. Harvested and fermented separately, 75% whole-cluster, native yeast fermentation, then aged in neutral barrels and blended just before bottling. 27 barrels produced. Harvest date: 8/16, 9/11. First Vintage: 2009
