"Far Ouest" is one of the premier releases from this producer, blending every grape found in the estate - what they call a "Mediterranean cuvée"
Very allocated release, we were fortunate enough to grab the last 1.5 cases.
"Far-Ouest" has a film connection because of Mylène’s passion for film from an early age. She loved Clint Eastwood in ‘The Good, The Bad and The Ugly’ and also admires French New Wave director Francois Truffaut who used the metaphor of the Wild West to shape his films.
The Syrah and Grenache is grown in magnesia-rich white limestone. Carignan comes from clay-limestone. Cinsault from clay terraces with fine gravel.
She works biodynamically with her partner Bruno on a mere 5 hectares who showed up at the estate one day and never left !
