Although his first official vintage wasn’t until 2013, Michel Autran is already making a name for himself as one of the top producers in Vouvray. His wines have it all: purity, elegant fruit, incredible length, richness balanced by enamel-stripping acidity, and off-the-charts minerality.
From "Les Enfers" vineyard, 70 year-old vines, clay & silex soils. He took over the vineyard in 2011 (before he took over it was farmed chemically). The 2020 vintage got 2 years elevage sur lie (1yr in barrel, then blended into tank for the 2nd year), then 2 years in bottle before release.
