Pibarnon sets the standard in Bandol and sits atop the highest point in a protected amphitheater with its own microclimate, allowing the native Mouvèdre a long growing season. The terraced vineyard faces the sea on the top of a hill that reaches 300m, forming a great natural south-east-facing bowl. The soil is made of clay, limestone and white chalk. Catherine and Henri de Saint Victor purchased Pibarnon in the late 1970s when the area was a mere backwater. Thirty years later this estate is held in the highest esteem.
