  • Porta Del Vento - Grillo Sicilia DOC 2019

"...The tiny Porta del Vento winery sits 2000 feet above Palermo, near the village of Camporeale ... The vineyard extends for eighteen hectares on the hills of the area of Alcamo doc and Monreale doc. Sandy soils on sandstone crust. Vineyards are mainly cultivated with "alberello" system and are almost fifty years old, exposed to the north following the steep slopes of the land. At 600m elevation, on incredibly steep slopes, this area is known for constant, brutal winds, blowing through the vineyards. These ever-present winds, along with the large, diurnal, temperature range, allow for wines of great concentration, character, low alcohol and racy acidity ... Porta del Vento's wines are uniquely expressive, conveying emotion and terroir." - Steven Graf Wine

You've never had a Grillo like this. Subtle yet complex, dry, refreshing, expressive - great with any lighter fare or seafood. 50 year old vines tended with organic & biodynamic practices, just a touch of skin contact, 6 months on the lees in cement tanks.

  • Castell D'age - Vino de Espana - Sondre Lerche Patos "Luz Y Luz" Rosato 2020

We love this rosato and the first case sold out so fast we had to get more. 100% Garnacha from Catalonia (Penedes DO) farmed with organic & biodynamic practices. Carbonic maceration is used. A dry rose that remains light yet firm and refreshing. A nutty, almost Sherry-esque quality to this beautifully complex wine. Gorgeous.

More info from Steven Graf Wine: "...Castell d’Age - A winery tied to three generations of women. The cellar sits in an 18th century farmhouse in the small village of La Beguda Baixa. Olivia Junyent at its reins, organic viticulture and a love of tradition in the cellar, the winery has been a force for good in the region (introducing organic farming, and currently biodynamic certified). Recently, Sondre Lerche, a musician from Bergen, Norway, fell for these wines and had the opportunity to ... create a project of tasty, everything-you-crave-in-a-glass wines. The project, a team-up of Olivia and Sondre, is named ‘Patos."

  • Frederic Agneray - "Gare du Nord" VDF 2020
We love Grenache, and here is a brand new one to the shop. Well-ripened and hand-picked from the Moulin parcels of the estate, which feature clay and sand soil. Organic farming. Macerated as a whole crop for 6 days. Unoaked (stainless steel and fiberglass are used). A slightly tarter expression of Grenache, with a medium weight, generous purple fruit, and an earthy finish. Frédéric is a rising star in The Gard department of the Rhône valley. He began making wine in 2013 with a 3 hectare plot, and today the estate encompasses a still modest 8.5 hectares maintained by a small team of 4.
