Fresh, approachable, easy drinking. Lighter bodied than most Plavac Mali - with a bright palate of cherries and blueberries, a subtle earthiness and gentle tannins. Can certainly be enjoyed with a slight chill.
100% Plavac Mali from the outskirts of Sibenik (Vrpolje settlement) in the coastal region of Dalmatia, Croatia. Sourced from rocky and rugged vineyards that enjoy a beautiful view of the sea (elevation ranges from 50 to 300 meters in elevation). Soil consists of red and brown clay atop a limestone foundation.
Organic, dry farmed. No fertilizer or sprays aside from minimal powdered sulfites.
Hand harvested, 8 day maceration in steel tanks, spontaneous fermentation
