WINE CLUB SELECTION - SEPT 2023
very allocated release of this traditional Cru Beaujolais (we took 1/2 of the cases the importer received!)
50/60 years old goblet trained vines. Low yields (40 hl/ha). The soils are composed of Granites and Piémonts. Granitic arenite, silicium, pink granite and blue rocks
a bolder style of Gamay, like it used to be made! decant for 1-2 hours to let this brooding red really start to sing. Fragrant aromas of black fruit, violets, licorice, and umami (which according to Thomas, this note comes from the soil), profound depth and richness, a great summer moving into fall red, enjoy at cellar temp.
