You might know the Niepoort name is synonymous with Port, but you might not know that Dirk Niepoort who is now at the helm of family business, on its 5th generation, is a huge proponent of organic farming and was instrumental in leading the new trend of lowered alcohol dry wines coming out of Portugal.
This is a fun, easy-drinking version of Vinho Verde - and it's a liter bottle! The grapes were mostly sourced from the sub-region Lousada. Soil is granite and elevation is 100-150 meters, vines are 25-30 years old.
