New bottling: A "mini Morgon, sort of" - from declassified Morgon plots plus a little fruit from granitic plots just outside the official Cru boundaries. Total vineyard sites are just 2.5 hectares and range 50-80 years old vines. Marcel Lapierre was one of the OG natural winemakers of Beaujolais along with Guy Breton, Jean-Paul Thévenet, and Jean Foillard (the gang of four). Now his son and daughter continue the tradition of the old way of winemaking, never using synthetic herbicides or pesticides, picking late to ensure the ripest berry, rigorous sorting and also implementing biodynamics. They are as traditional as they are revolutionary in their approach. Only one case available. joie de vivre!
