This house is one of the few that is responsible for restoring the reputation of the Muscadet region. This wine is made from 70+ year old vines in gneiss, granite, and amphibolite (which give the wine its mineral overtones and freshness). Due to their exceptional sun exposure, the grapes are picked earlier than anywhere else in France.
Mouth-watering acidity just how we like it, green apple, citrus-pith - truly oceanic.
region: Loire Valley, France
varietal: Melon de Bourgogne
farming & cellar: organic, each parcel is manually harvested and fermented using native yeast. After resting on their lees over the winter in concrete and glass vats, the wine is siphoned off from the lees without stirring or filtering beforehand, using only gravity in the spring following each harvest.
