100% certified sustainable Cabernet Sauvignon from a single parcel.
Taut and precise, this very old world inspired Cab features notes of creme de cassis, violets, black plum, cedar, and freshly tilled soil.
From west-facing vines (planted in 1999) in the Polkadraai Hills, the Karibib Vineyard has decomposed granite soil. This was picked early and features whole cluster fermentation with ambient yeast and brief maceration before moving into neutral French 225L barrels for ten months. Fragrant and finessed, with black cherry, wild raspberry, and dusty graphite across the structural and firm, yet restrained (12.5%) palate. The finish is impressively long, with lingering granitic buzz. A beautiful expression of Cabernet - drinking well now and worth cellaring.
