WINE CLUB SELECTION - JUNE 2024

  • Winemakers Guillame and Hélène Baron have hand-selected every vineyard plot and the varieties grown within.
  • The vineyards are farmed biodynamically, with the warm, sunny days providing the perfect environment for natural grape growing.
  • Unusually for the Languedoc, the wines are 50-80% whole cluster, and all vinification is by gravity.
  • The wines draw comparisons to far more famous appellations, such as Côte Rôtie, making this lineup a superb value for money.

Organic farming with adherence to the biodynamic calendar. From Saint-Saturnin and Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière. The Roussanne was planted in the 1990s. The Chenin plot is named Cargadous and was planted in the mid-1970s. Average yield 25hl/ha.

Stony clay in Saint-Saturnin and red “ruffles” in Saint-Jean- de-La-Blaquière

fuller bodied white from a few tiny parcels that will appeal to fans of white Rhone or Vouvray, lemon preserve, pear, floral notes, well integrated oak influence, lots of depth and body, starts off big and rich but finishes with a lovely mineral freshness
