This comes from Giulia Negri's tiny (1 ha) plot in the Serrandenari cru (vineyard) with Nebbiolo vines planted in 2003. Soil is clay, marl, and loam. This microclimate (the highest elevation vines in all of Barolo - 520m elevation) produces elegant, mineral, fresh Barolo with the help of diurnal temperature variations and constant breeze.

Bright high-toned red fruits, rose, tobacco, sage, smoky campfire, peony, licorice, hot earth, blood orange, fine-grained tannins. Decant if enjoying in youth or cellar for the next 10-20 years. ~6,500 bottles made annually, ~300 cases imported to US.
