This wine is what we’re all about at Depanneur Wines: a winemaker that hasn’t been clubbed into submission, that has set forth to do things differently. Winemaker Sebastien Riffault has worked his Sancerre lands to the point, there is now such a thing as a ‘Methode Riffault’: leaving grapes on the vines longer than everybody else, allowing for botrytis to form in these biodynamic vineyards.
Botrytis gives us a honey suckle nose, more weighty than your classic Sancerre, but the lightest of Riffault's! It is a fresh, creamy natural wine with a touch of mineral and a lingering pleasant finish. Mature orchard fruit notes are found on the palate with a Rich minerality from the soil leaves us with an expected electric salinity finish and unique Sancerre.
Don’t miss it!
