The most delicious saigneé rosé I’ve tried. Maybe I’m crazy but it kind of tasted like a wild strawberry creamy margarita. A little salt a little lime went down real nice what a treat. Sourced from soil comprised of yellow sand and volcanic orange/red sand.
Nebbiolo grapes are the foundation for the legendary red wines from Piedmont such as Barolo, Barbaresco, Gattinara or Bramaterra. In 2010, we started out with a modern interpretation of this grape variety, ‘Al Posto dei Fiori’ DOC, a rosato produced from more than 90% Nebbiolo rounded off with autochthonous grape varieties Vespolina and Croatina. All of our grapes are hand-picked from selected plots only. Fermentation occurs in a combination of steel tanks (90%) and used barrique barrels (10%). The result is a unique Rosato, excellently suited as a food companion and an exceptional life span of up to five years.
