Juila Casado studied with and worked for Brand Brothers (one of our favorite producers from Germany). That's where she learned the ins and outs of organic farming. We love this expression of skin-contact Macabeo (10 days maceration) from gravelly calcareous red clay soil. Vines are over 20 years old and sourced from the "Sierra de Lavia" and "Burete" within Bullas on a 3ha plot at 750 meters above sea level.
Bright, and chalky. Refreshing but still a serious wine, good acidity and food friendly coming from the hot and dry climate of Bullas (Murcia Region in Southeast Spain). How does she do it? This wine has a LOT of sediment.
